Organiser’s Perspective

How much does our LEADS service cost the organiser?

Nothing! There is no cost to the organisers for use of LEADS link. All you have to do is provide your attendees, exhibitors, speakers and staff access to the accommodation booking link so that they can take advantage of the accommodation booking tool.

Do LIDO EVENTS services increase the cost of accommodation?

Hotels pay LIDO EVENTS a percentage of commission from all generated bookings. This does not increase the rate for the traveller - the commission is paid out of the normal room rate we have negotiated. Due to the volume of room nights that The Lido Group produces, our negotiating power throughout Australia and New Zealand provides you with the best value rates for our guests.

How many hotels do you offer?

LIDO EVENTS has dealings with over 10,000 hotels in Australia and New Zealand. We try to offer a broad range of hotels through each LEADS link we create and if one does not appear we are more than willing to approach them for you. Our accommodation ranges from 2.5 – 5 star properties including apartment style hotels, international chains, stand-a-lone hotels, motels and bed and breakfasts.

Can we use your online event marketing tool to communicate information to our delegates?

Yes, but if accommodation is not the main purpose of the marketing campaign there will be costs involved. To make an enquiry about our online marketing tool please contact our LIDO EVENTS consultants on 02 8585 0808 or email events@lido.com.au.

Are the hotel rates specially negotiated for my event?

Yes. All the rates available through your LEADS link are specially negotiated event rates. Due to the volume of room nights that The Lido Group produces, our negotiating power throughout Australia and New Zealand provides you with the best value rates.

Traveller Perspective

I would like to book breakfast, parking or another special request with my hotel room. How do I do this and how do I pay for it?

Some room rates will include breakfast and/or parking, internet or  newspaper which will be stated on your LEADS link. If the rate you are booking does not have any inclusions and is a room only rate you may request them in the “Notes / Special Requests” field when making the booking. Requests made in this way are not guaranteed and will be charged by the hotel upon checkout.

The hotel I want to book says “SOLD OUT” on the LEADS link. What should I do?

Click the “Request” button to the right-hand side of the “SOLD OUT” button and complete the online request form. A LIDO EVENTS consultant will contact you shortly to either confirm your request or offer alternatives. The hotel might be fully booked, or the room type you may have requested may now be available at a different rate.  If the hotel is fully booked your LIDO EVENTS consultant will provide you with other available accommodation options.

The hotel I want doesn’t appear on the LEADS link. What should I do?

Contact us and we will talk to the hotel directly for you. Be sure to include the check-in and check-out dates of your booking, bedding configuration and the event you are attending in your request. A LIDO EVENTS consultant will contact you shortly to either quote you a rate at this hotel or offer alternative options.

Can I make an accommodation booking if I don’t have access to a computer?

Yes. Call us on our toll free number if you are within Australia on 02 8585 0808 or if you are overseas you can call +61 2 8585 0808 and we will facilitate your booking over the phone. Please have a credit card handy when you call because payment will be taken at the time of booking.

I’ve lost my accommodation / registration confirmation. What should I do?

Contact us and we will send you a new copy of your confirmation direct to your email.

The LEADS link keeps displaying an error. What should I do?

Please contact us and we will try to fix the issue for you. To assist us in identifying and rectifying the error, please capture a screen shot of the error and email it to events@lido.com.au. If we cannot resolve the problem immediately, we will facilitate your booking over the phone, but remember to have a credit card handy as payment will be taken at the time of booking.

Are my personal details safe with LIDO EVENTS?

Cancelling / Amending

How do I amend / cancel / change the name on my accommodation reservation?

All amendments and cancellations must be made in writing and emailed to events@lido.com.au. Upon receipt of your amendment or cancellation email,  a LIDO EVENTS consultant will contact you to confirm the change.

What are the costs incurred when cancelling an accommodation booking?

Please refer to your booking confirmation which you would have received by email upon making your booking.  This document explains the cancellation policy for the hotel you have booked. All cancellations will incur a cancellation charge of $22 (inc GST).

 Costs / Payment

 Are my credit card details secure online?

Yes. LIDO EVENTS uses a secure 128 bit encrypted booking and payment gateway, using VeriSign technology.

When will my credit card be charged?

Full payment is taken at the time of booking.

Is a tax invoice provided for online accommodation bookings?

Your booking confirmation, which is emailed automatically to you at the time of booking is both your booking confirmation and your tax invoice. If you have lost your confirmation email, please contact us and we will send you a new one.
